Non-local controversy: Senior actor supports Prakash Raj

This year’s MAA elections are as heated up as ever. A total of 5 contestants are running for the MAA president post, which never happened in the history of the association.

Prakash Raj, who is tipped to be one of the favourites to bag the president post is now facing a tricky situation as his counterparts are using the ‘non-local’ card against him.

The actor who hails from Karnataka is yet to openly speak about the non-local tag.

Now, Prakash Raj is receiving support from another non-local actor Suman, who doesn’t hail from the Telugu states but has been a strong supporter of Telangana state.

Suman says there is no such thing as non-local in an actor’s portfolio. “An actor belongs to all the states in the country. I support Prakash Raj’s candidature in the MAA elections,” he said.
