Renowned Kuchipudi dancer and Padmashree awardee Shobha Naidu passed away at a private hospital in Hyderabad, say latest reports.
The noted artist was suffering from neurological disorders for a while now and succumbed to the medical condition yesterday midnight. She breathed her last at 1:40 AM last night.
Shobha Naidu was born in Anakapalli, Vizag district and she forayed into Kuchipudi dancing at an early age of 12 and went on to become one of the greats in the field.
Shoba served as Hyderabad Kuchipudi Art Academy principal and trained hundreds of enthusiasts in her sprawling career.
Shoba Naidu was known for her mesmerizing performances in the roles of Padmavati, Satyabhama, and Chandalika.
