It’s raining biopics in Tollywood. And the latest to join the list is veteran filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao. The life and story of Dasari is going to be chronicled on silver screen. One of his close aides and actor O. Kalyan will be producing the film.
While it’s not clear that who is going to essay the role of Dasari in the film, it’s buzzed that one of Dasari’s proteges would be directing the yet-to-be-titled film. All other details have been kept under the wraps at the moment. Kalyan said that this will be his tribute to his Guru Dasari.
It has to be seen whether it’s just an announcement or will it be actually made as a feature film. Dasari was an actor, writer and director who made over 150 films. He held Guinness Book of World Record for directing highest number of films. Apart from films, he had forayed into media by setting up Udayam daily newspaper and even active in politics. He served as Minister in Manmohan Singh’s government.
