Turning the speculations true, Krithi Shetty has been confirmed as the leading lady in Ram Pothineni’s upcoming film tentatively referred to as RAPO19. The Tamil-Telugu bilingual will be directed by N Lingusamy who is known for actioners like ‘Run’, ‘Sandakozhi’ (Pandem Kodi) and ‘Vettai’. This will be the maiden Telugu film for Lingusamy and the debut for Ram in Kollywood. Touted to be a mass entertainer, the untitled project is bankrolled by Srinivasaa Chitturi under Srinivasaa Silver Screen. The production house is currently producing Urvashi Rautela’s Black Rose and Gopichand-Tamannaah’s Seetimaarr.

In the author-backed role of Bebamma, the 17-year-old stole the show with her arresting beauty and impeccable emoting skills particularly in the climax where she takes on Vijay Sethupathi in what can be termed as a hard-hitting emotional sequence. Besides notching up a worldwide gross of over Rs 70 crore in the first week, the romantic-drama was widely appreciated by critics, celebrities and the general audience.
Before the release of ‘Uppena’ itself, Krithi has started shooting for Nani’s Shyam Singha Roy in Kolkata.
