The demand to make Working President of Telangana Rashtra Samithi Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao aka KTR the next Chief Minister of Telangana is the much-talked-about issue in the state currently.
A few ruling TRS leaders have already announced that KTR will replace his father KCR as the CM. They have even said that a change in leadership will be made when the right time comes.
On the other hand, it has been widely reported that KCR will pave the way for his son KTR to take over the ruling from him in February only. The formal announcement on the same is awaited.
However, the opposition parties have slammed the TRS over the alleged decision. Earlier BJP MP Dharmapuri Aravind said that Telangana Health Minister Eatala Rajender would be the ideal candidate to take over the CM office.
The support for the idea to make Etela the next Chief Minister seems to be growing. After the saffron party BJP, the Telangana wing of the Congress has also extended its support to the demand.
The Congress party is giving two reasons for this. One is, Etela has also played a crucial role in the Telangana agitation. The second is, the leaders hailing from the backward sections would get a chance to rule the state.
Now it is interesting to know whether the ruling TRS will see the growing support for this as an issue or not. Well, only time can answer all these unanswered questions.
