The self-proclaimed miracle cure for Covid-19, the Krishnapatnam medicine has created quite a sensation across Andhra Pradesh. The popularity of the medicine has reached a level that thousands of people rushed to the village to get the medicine from the practitioner.The medicine row has attracted the reaction of Hyderabad-based rationalist and human rights activist Babu Gogineni, who shot to fame with the Bigg Boss Telugu version.

Reacting to the videos which claimed that, people taking the miracle medicine were cured within minutes, Babu Gogineni shared a long post on his Facebook in Telugu. How will the oxygen levels increase if drops were used in the eye, he asked.Sharing a video of a person, who said he had recovered minutes after taking the medicine, Gogineni asked everyone who supported the miracle medicine to see what happened to the person within 24 hours of taking the medicine.

Saying that those who have supported miracle medicine irrespective of their professions like journalists, Anandayya, and others should be held responsible by putting the lives of people in danger.

The Humanist said, those who were responsible for violating the lockdown norms should be punished as per law and the individuals at the long queue lines should be quarantined for two weeks, and then only they should be sent to their home, he said.

On the other hand, the Andhra Pradesh government has sent the medicine that was distributed to people by Ayurveda practitioner Anandayya to ICMR to test the efficiency of the medicine. The test reports are awaited.
