The objectionable comments made by the opposition Telugu Desam Party(TDP) leader K Pattabhi Ram had created unrest in Andhra Pradesh. The YSRCP party workers and supporters who are not happy with the comments have reportedly attacked the party offices of TDP. Raising their voice against the attacks, the TDP had called for protest and party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu observed fasting at the protest.
Speaking on the alleged attacks against the party offices, senior Telugu Desam Party(TDP) leader and former Minister Paritala Sunitha had warned the YSRCP government to change their behavior or else they will face the heat. We are ready to do anything if Chandrababu Naidu says ok, she said.
Media reports say that Sunitha opined that Chandrababu should change and if he closes his eyes for one hour, the story will be different. Seema blood is flowing in our body, we are getting BP with these attacks, Sunitha said.
We remained silent when my husband was killed after Chandrababu Naidu asked us to be calm. He should change now. Once TDP comes to power in the state, we will give it back to YSRCP. They should keep this in mind and behave, Sunitha reportedly said.
Former Minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao also hit back at the ruling party and accused them of using filthy language against them. We will come to power and will teach YSRCP how real democracy looks like. He alleged that the attacks were being done to shift the focus from the drugs issue in the state.
We are fighting against the drugs that are grown in the state. To shift the focus from that, our houses and party offices were under attack. Even the public in the state is not happy with the government over the hike in electricity charges, he said.
Andhra Pradesh Police arrested TDP leader Pattabhi Ram for his comments against Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. He was produced before a court on Thursday and the court sent him to judicial custody for 14 days. The Magistrate was not satisfied with Pattabhi’s comments that he did not target CM Jagan and his bail petition was turned down.
