Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan is continuing the guessing game and is keeping the eagerly-awaiting Telugu Desam on tenterhooks. The TDP, which hoped that Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan will make his stand clear on the issue of alliances for the 2024 elections, is finding that the actor-politician is still waiting and watching.
Instead of making his stand on the alliance clear, Pawan Kalyan is now focusing on the Kapu community. These days, he has been saying that the Kapu community is deeply divided and has 18 sub-castes. He further said that the community is known by different names in different regions of the state. He said it is imperative that the Kapus should unite and work towards a common cause.
What is more troublesome for the TDP is that he has said that the TDP and Chandrababu Naidu are powerful because one particular caste backs them to the hilt. The Kapus too should do the same thing and rally behind the Jana Sena, he said. All this is not exactly music to the ears of the TDP and its chief Chandrababu Naidu.
As of now, he has not spelt out his stand on the question of alliance with the TDP. The Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP desperately needs the support of the Jana Sena if it wants to unseat the YSRCP. Alone, it may not be able to take on the might of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Already, the BJP has make it clear that there would be no alliance with the TDP. Till now, the Jana Sena too has not cleared its stand. Thus, Jana Sena is keeping the TDP guessing about its stand.
