Pawan Kalyan’s tour to Uddanam addressing the kidney patients issue has become a subject of special importance in Telugu states because the problem is intense and victims are losing lives due to AP Government negligence. Pawan’s direct entry into Uddanam village near Ichapuram to assess the complexity ended with passing of 48 hours ultimatum to AP CM Chandrababu Naidu.
As per WHO reports, Srikakulam region is in top 3 places of the world with high concentration of Chronic Kidney Diseases. Pawan Kalyan demanded the State and Central Governments to formulate a high level expert doctor committee to study and analyze the problem at root level.
‘Instead of investing crores on building new capital and conducting Pushkaram events, why can’t Govt spend few crores to setup a dialysis centre here? Government should formulate special health committees in next 48 hours and address the issue offering health packages rescuing the poor.
A five member committee headed by Dr Hari Prasad will compile a report on behalf of Jana Sena and submit it in next 15 days by personally meeting CM Chandrababu Naidu.
There is a medical emergency in Uddanam. But, it is so sad that none of the elected representatives raised their voice before State and Central Governments. Centre has lakhs of crores deposited in Banks after demonetization and State Govt supported it. Despite there is huge money with health ministry to spend, there is nothing allocated for kidney patients. If Governments fail to break the mystery behind Uddanam kidney diseases, I will personally lead a mass agitation,’ Pawan Kalyan said.
