Janasena party chief Pawan Kalyan has demanded that Bharat Ratna be declared for Indian national flag designer Pingali Venkaiah. He said that the Tri-colored flag had inspired every Indian in the struggle for freedom and independence from British rule.
He said it would be appropriate to declare Bharat Ratna to Pingali Venkaiah, who designed such a tricolor flag. Pawan Kalyan said that 100 years have passed since the Tri-colored flag has emerged and every Indian should feel proud.
Pawan Kalyan recalled that the national flag emerged in Vijayawada. He described the national flag as a solid backdrop to tell the history of the country’s freedom struggle and the sacrifices of the freedom fighters to the future of India.
He said that every Indian should always remember Pingali Venkaiah, who designed the unique national flag. Besides declaring Bharat Ratna to him, he said that Pingali Venkaiah idols be placed in every village, town, and city.
