Actor-turned-politician, Janasena Supremo Pawan Kalyan is known for his helping nature and kind heart. He had helped a lot of people. During the natural calamities too, Pawan Kalyan will come forward to help the needy as his responsibility. Keeping up the good work, Janasenani had now come forward to set up a memorial after the former Chief Minister of combined Andhra Pradesh.
Pawan Kalyan announced his decision of making the residence of former Chief Minister of combined Andhra Pradesh Damodaram Sanjeevaiah into a memorial with an aim to safeguard the belongings and house of the great leader so that the next generation can learn about him.
For this, Pawan Kalyan had also announced a fund of Rs one crore. By using the money in the fund, the residence of Damodaram Sanjeevaiah, will be renovated and then made into a memorial. The old house was damaged mostly due to rains and the successors of Sanjeevaiah also didn’t take care of the house.
Taking to Twitter, Pawan Kalyan announced that on the behalf of Janasena, they have decided to transform Sri Damodaram Sanjeevaiah’s residence as a memorial as a sign of his services. I am humbly informing you that to start the memorial, we have decided to set up a fund of Rs 1 crore.
In another tweet, Pawan Kalyan mentioned the schemes started by the great leader like giving pensions to elderly people and handicapped and allotting land to the beneficiaries at the outskirts of Hyderabad city. He became the first person from the suppressed caste to have served as the national chief of the Congress Party. Despite all this, he lived a simple life in his last days, Pawan Kalyan said.
Damodaram Sanjivayya hails from the Kurnool district and Peddapadu village is his native place. Drawn towards the Indian freedom fight, he took part in the fight in his college days and joined the Congress party later. Between 11 January 1960 to 12 March 1962, he served as the Chief Minister of undivided AP, making him the first Dalit leader to serve as the CM in India. Between 1964 to 1966, he served as the Labour and Employment Minister.
