Power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan appears to have sent an indirect message to his erstwhile friend Telugu Desam Party that he was ready to work with the latter, but there is a condition.
In his statement made on his social media platform, Pawan said Jana Sena was ready to work with any party or group of parties, but such parties should also have an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party.
“Several of my party leaders and cadre brought to my notice that some non-BJP parties in the state are extending a friendly hand to Jana Sena for an alliance. We have no objection to work with them and forge an alliance, provided the BJP is part of such an alliance,” he said.
Analysts say Pawan has indirectly sent a message to the TDP led by former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu that the TDP could join the Jana Sena-BJP combine and work together.
He said at present, the Jana Sena has been working in alliance with the BJP at all levels – right from village level to the state-level. There have been joint working committees at the state-level and parliamentary constituency-level.
“Jana Sena and BJP have come to a perfect understanding and have been working in the field. If any party invites us or wants to join hands with the Jana Sena, it should also work with the BJP in the alliance. We are not going to work with any alliance which doesn’t have place for the BJP,” Pawan clarified.
