Pawan Questions Chandrababu’s Appointment

The appointment of the Executive Officer of the prestigious Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams (TTD) is now stroking controversy. With the posting of 1993 batch IAS officer, Anil Kumar Singhal, the former resident commissioner of AP Bhavan, New Delhi as the EO is drawing ire. The latest to join this is Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan who took to his Twitter and sought the explanation of AP government.

It has been a practice to appoint AP IAS officers as EOs of the TTD for years. By appointing a non-local and North-Indian IAS as the EO, there is a flak from Veda Pundits in TTD and many local politicians including TDP have expressed shock over the decision.

Pawan wrote, “I am not against ‘North Indian IAS’ officials taking charge of TTD. But would they allow any South Indian’ to take up the administrative position of such sacred shrine of Northern India like..”Amaranath varnasi and madhura etcetera..” So when they don’t allow SOuth Indians head such…why should South Indians accept this. I wonder how TDP and Hon. Chief minister allowed it to happen. They owe an explanation to the people of AP and South.”

Pawan’s tweet two days after the new EO took charge of the TTD is now gaining mass and added fire to the ongoing controversy. AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, who is in the US to attract investments for AP, is yet to respond.
