Days after his meeting with Andhra Pradesh Cinematography Minister Perni Nani created a big storm, Movie Artists Association (MAA) President Manchu Vishnu met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at Tadepalli earlier today. The meeting had given rise to many speculations and predictions on the meeting.
The meeting had made many heads turn as a few days back, a team of Tollywood members met the Chief Minister to discuss various issues that are related to the film industries.
After meeting YS Jagan, Manchu Vishnu held a press meet to give information on the meeting. The Manchu scion said that personal issues came up for the discussions during the meeting as the meeting was purely personal.
However, Manchu Vishnu also said that issues related to the film industry were also discussed and he will talk about the issues later as the press meet is not the right platform to talk about the film industry-related issues.
Saying that several issues were discussed during the meeting, Manchu Vishnu announced his decision of setting up a film studio in Tirupati. I will be setting up the biggest Film Institute in Asia, he said.
Speaking to the media, Manchu Vishnu found fault with a few people and media outlets making a ruckus on his tweet on meeting Perni Nani. He said that he had to change his tweet after the controversy erupted. I am well aware of the issues and developments in the industry, he said.
On this occasion, Manchu Vishnu said that despite issues the Industry is one and they are one extended family.
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are two eyes for the Telangana Film Industry. I am glad that CM Jagan responded positively to the issues, Vishnu observed.
Talking about the meeting between the Andhra Pradesh government and the Tollywood industry, Manchu Vishnu rubbished the news that his father Manchu Vishnu was not invited to the meeting.
There is no truth in the news and the government had invited my father. A few people have spread the news and I know who they are. I will give them a correct reply when the right time arrives, he added.
