The film based on team India’s successful run at the 1983 Cricket World Cup has locked its release date on April 10th. Announcing the release date, the makers unveiled the picture of hero Ranveer Singh who is playing the role of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev.
In the curly hair and moustache, Ranveer is seen lifting the world cup trophy and exactly replicates the iconic moment. This moment brought a revolution in cricket in India and now it’s the most prominent sport.
Kabir Khan is directing ’83’ movie which also stars Deepika Padukone, Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani and Neena Gupta in pivotal roles. With the makers confirming the release, the trailer and songs are expected to be out in the coming days.
’83’ movie will simultaneously release in Tamil and Telugu languages too. Nagarjuna has acquired the Telugu distribution rights.
