On August 18, 1975, a bus conductor named Shivajirao Gaikwad from Bangalore made his acting debut with legendary Tamil director K Balachander’s Apoorva Raagangal. The actor went on to become Super Star Rajinikanth, the biggest star the country has ever seen.

The poster has a silhouetted Rajini standing against some of his iconic characters, including Kaala, Kabali and Baba.
