The employee who has been working with Amazon for over one and a half years said that the employees in the Robotics division were also being laid off by the company. Having announced the news, the employee identified as Jamie Zhang said that he is open to employment opportunities and looking for jobs.

Despite firing the existing employees the companies are showing interest in taking freelancers to fill the special roles to finish the existing projects. This would offer employment for the freelancers for a brief period and would also cut short the expenses of employers as they have to pay only for the freelancers who work on a project basis.
