The ACB officials are intensifying their investigation on the ESI scam. TDP MLA, former Minister Atchannaidu is being investigated in the GGH in the presence of lawyers as directed by the high court.
The ACB officials are questioning Atchannaidu after the ESI officers who have been under custody provided some important details related to the alleged scam. Now, the ACB alleges that each and every word said by Atchannaidu is to protect himself and is making the ESI officials responsible for the scam.
The news is out that Atchannaidu said that he was not the minister of the labor department during the period of the alleged scam and now, all of a sudden the focus shifted to the Pithani Satyanarayana who was the minister of the labour department at that time.
The higher officials of the labour department said that the more amount was spent than the specified budget and especially during the second quarter, the Rs.34.05 crores were spent excessively than the actual budget. Then, Pithani Satyanarayana was the minister and the vigilance officials also confirmed the same. So, with the statements given by Atchannaidu and the vigilance officials, it is being said that the government has enough proofs to take Pithani Satyanarayana into custody.
Now, the questions that arose in the public are – how could the ACB officials not come to know that Atchannaidu was not the minister during the alleged period of scam? How could they just arrest an MLA just for issuing some letters which is a very regular practice in government offices? Is he being framed?
