Visakha Railway Zone was announced more than two years ago, but none of the preparations for the Railway zone to be established has been made so far. When asked about the same, in the ongoing Rajya Sabha sessions, Minister Piyush Goyal responded by saying that a time frame has not yet been decided upon, for the establishing of the said railway zone.
The fact that the Center has not even allocated any funds for the development of the Visakha Railway Zone in this year’s budget is rather dissatisfying, as this once again reduces the chances of the Central Government actually making the railway zone a reality.
Given that the TDP is not in power in AP anymore, and the YSRCP is interested in other things, the BJP at the Center seems to be not caring about the Railway Zone anymore. With no one questioning, and no one pushing for the realisation of the zone into reality, no one seems to even recognise the existence of the zone anymore.
It has also been said that works on the railway zone would be begun after taking into consideration the different possibilities of the railway zone turning into reality. These possibilities were already taken into consideration while announcing the Railway zone, which is why everyone is now perplexed as to why this question even came up in the first place.
