Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on his Madhya Pradesh tour, had inaugurated the Rani Kamalapati Railway station on Monday that was equipped with all the modern facilities and renamed from the previous Habibganj Railway Station. The Railway Station falls under the Bhopal city.
Narendra Modi was accompanied by Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel, State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, and others at the inauguration ceremony.
During his address after the inauguration ceremony, Narendra Modi said, he is happy that he got the opportunity to inaugurate the Railway Station that was renamed after the famous Gond queen Rani Kamalapati. He called the revamped Railway Station the symbol of the future of Indian Railways.
Talking about the facilities offered at the Railway Station, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the facilities here are at par with the Airport. This shows how the Railways are progressing at a rapid pace, he said.
Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid his respects to celebrated tribal leader Birsa Munda, who fought against the atrocities of the British rulers and became a cult personality. He took part in the ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Divas’ and addressed the gathering. He launched a few initiatives to empower the tribal community.
