The farmers’ have been agitating against the controversial agricultural bills near the national capital Delhi for nearly over four weeks. A few celebrities have also extended their support to the protests.
Amid this situation, Prime Minister made a sudden visit to Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib in Delhi without any prior announcement. He paid tributes to Guru Teg Bahadur for his supreme sacrifice.
Till Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter and shared pictures of him at Gurudwara, no one knows that he visited the Gurudwara.
‘Paid homage to Shri Guru Teg Bahadur ji today at Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib. Guru ji did a lot to protect the Hindu religion and gave the message of communal harmony,’ his tweet in Gurumukhi loosely translates.
‘It is the special Kripa of the Guru Sahibs that we will mark the special occasion of the 400th Parkash Parv of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji during our Government’s tenure. Let us mark this blessed occasion in a historic way and celebrate the ideals of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji,’ his another tweet read.
His visit to Sikh shrine Gurudwara Rakabganj came a day after the death anniversary of Sikh saint Guru Tegh Bahadur. The saint’s death anniversary was observed on Saturday.
With no prior information, no special arrangements or traffic barriers were put during his visit to the iconic shrine. Modi visited the shrine like a normal person, sources said.
