The continuous poking of the Andhra Pradesh Ministers made Venkaiah Naidu uncomfortable and he challenged the AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy in his own way. The master mind Venkaiah Naidu recommended AP to Union Minsters as a response to sarcastic writing from AP ministers to Naidu for using his good offices to get Rs 2,498 Cr released from the Centre to the state government.
The fund was released immediately and silently. While everyone thinks that Venkaiah Naidu has felt that pressure from the ministers, the Vice President has different plans behind this aggressive step which seems like a defensive one.
The clearance of the dues to paddy farmers’ is a long pending issue in Andhra Pradesh and Jagan is busy in using the state treasury for his Navarathnalu. With the huge amount that was released from the Centre, here is a challenge lies infront of Jagan Mohan Reddy. The AP CM is usually not in the habit of using Central funds for the purpose for which they are released.
Already, the local body elections heat began in Andhra Pradesh and Jagan needs to spend the amount in the clearance of dues of the farmers. But most of his schemes under Navarathnalu need a lot of money every month.
It is yet to see if Jagan diverts the hundreds of crores to his pet programmes of Navaratnalu Cash Transfer promises to his party vote banks or plays Venkaiah’s game by ensuring payments to paddy farmers. Venkaiah Naidu is known for his bitter attacks on his rivals and for the first time he put Jagan under a very critical situation.
