Popular Tamil comedian Theepetti Ganesan breathed his last at Madurai Government Hospital because of ill health today.
As per reports, the actor was admitted to the hospital after his health worsened. He is survived by his wife and two children.
Ganesan had acted in films like Billa 2, Neerparavai, Thenmerku Paruvakaatru, Kanne Kalaimaane, Kolamavu Kokila, and Ustad Hotel. He is best known for his role in ‘Renigunta’ which came out in Telugu in 2009.
Director Seenu Ramasamy took to his Twitter page to confirm the tragic news. “I was shocked to know the sad demise of actor Karthik aka Theepetti Ganesan who had acted in my films. He was under treatment at Madurai Rajaji Hospital. Heartfelt condolences Ganesa”, tweeted Seenu Ramsamy.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the actor had released a video explaining his financial crisis. He also did small-scale businesses to survive in that hard period. Lyricist Snehan and Raghava Lawrence helped him out then.
