Prabhas Uppalapati has become the highest paid actor in Indian Cinema over taking even big three Khan’s. Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan anyways take a cut from returns on the movie, hence, Prabhas will remain to be the highest paid actor at least for another year or two.
Him accepting a movie with director Maruthi Dasari, who has been working with next crop of star heroes and waiting to break into top league, has given young directors a hope. Major number of stars turned to big star directors like Rajamouli, Trivikram Srinivas and Koratala Siva for their next films.
Mahesh is working with Trivkram Srinivas and Rajamouli back to back. NTR agreed to star in Koratala Siva’s next. Allu Arjun is going to work with Sukumar again and finish Pushpa saga.
Ram Charan is working with Shankar currently and he will join Gautham Tinnanuri after this project. For now, there are murmurs about him bidding to join Prashant Neel after Salaar, as well.
Only Prabhas is ready to work with other directors like Nag Ashwin and Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who are still at the start of their career, considerably. Mostly directors like Maruthi, Anil Ravipudi, Gopichand Malineni, Boyapati Srinu are looking at other stars like Puri Jagannath to do their films and hit big.
Suddenly, Prabhas agreeing to work with Maruthi and that too, the movie being said to be a lower budget film compared to his other films, young directors got a hope to reach out to him. They don’t have to come up with storylines like Saaho and RadheShyam, they can try other storylines too.
This will be a welcome change for Telugu Cinema too. Every star looking to increase budget and looking for epic action based stories, it would add variety to the table as well. What do you say and read from this move of Prabhas?
