With no other film in the race, the stage is set for Pawan Kalyan to mark a solid comeback with ‘Vakeel Saab’. There is a lot of buzz on this courtroom drama which is hitting the screens on April 9th. The trailer got a great response and fans are aiming to set the cash registers ringing on the first day.
As we know, Pawan’s last solo hit was ‘Attarintiki Daredi’ which came out in 2013. Though he got massive first-day collections for some films, none of them impressed the audience. So, fans are planning to go ballistic if ‘Vakeel Saab’ gets a positive talk.
On the other hand, the box office had a dry spell after ‘Jathi Ratnalu’. Though ‘Rang De’ was good, it wasn’t a huge hit. With ‘Vakeel Saab’ being the first star hero film post lockdown, a lot of hype surrounding this flick. News is that the pre-release business of this film was fantastic and the worldwide theatrical rights were sold for 90 crores.
Apparently, the theatrical rights in Telugu states summed up to 78 crores while the overseas rights were sold for 1.5 million. On the whole, ‘Vakeel Saab’ should earn more than 90 crores to enter the safe zone. Though Pawan’s stardom is the film’s biggest USP, the sensitive subject and the classy content may become a problem for the masses. Let us see if this message-oriented film rises above its hurdles or not.
