Probe against YSRCP MLA’s religion

Tadikonda YSRCP MLA Vundavalli Sridevi is in troubles over her religion. The Chief Election Commission has ordered for a probe on Sridevi’s religion as she claimed that she is a Christian in an interview which was aired on YouTube.

After confessing that Sridevi is a Christian, AS Santosh, working president of Legal Rights Protection Forum had written to President of India, Ramnath Kovind that she misused SC status and produced a false election affidavit. The Rashtrapathi Bhavan has responded on the complaint filed and this was forwarded to Election Commission. The EC has directed the state election commission for a complete probe on Sridevi’s religion.

Guntur district collector Dinesh Kumar has taken up the case and has summoned Sridevi to attend for a questioning on November 26th at 3 PM. The Collector also informed Sridevi to produce all the documents that she obtained to claim herself to be an SC.

If Sridevi is at fault, she might be disqualified as MLA and may also lose the eligibility to contest again.
