‘Yatra’, the much-awaited biopic on YSR, finally hit the screens today. The reviews are out. Now the public talk is also very positive.
Those who have seen pre-2004 political developments and the fans of late YS Rajasekhar Reddy have got connected with the moments created by director Mahi Raghav.
A youngster who had watched film declared that Mammoottty lived the character. Watching Mammootty on screen, I felt like watching YSR again, said a middle-aged person. He also added that the film depicts how a leader should be and what qualities made YSR a great leader.
Another youngster said it is not a biopic but is mostly based on an event in YSR’s life. Even then, it is highly emotional and brought memories back, he added.
Another rebel young guy declared that the film should be watched by Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi then only they get to know their grave mistakes.
An YSR fan, on the other hand, said he loved the climax and emotional core.
It is not that the film has only admirers. A youngster said he is not fully satisfied with the movie as it lacked proper story. It needed better second half, he opined.
