Puri Avoids Bangkok, Settles Down In Goa Again

Director Puri Jagan should be literally credited big for bringing that ‘special’ status to Bangkok city among Telugu folks. Though the likes of EVV Satyanarayana have used Bangkok to the core earlier, it is Puri who got things like ‘Thai massage’, ‘beaches’ and ‘sexy girls’ popularized here.

However, the director maintained that he only goes to Bangkok to sit peacefully and write his scripts. But then, due to budget constraints and due to flop sentiments hunting him, Puri avoided Bangkok completely, both for shooting and for writing. For his ‘Ismart Shankar’, he has camped in Goa to write the script, while songs are shot at both Goa and Maldives. Looks like he is going to do that again.

Currently, Puri took Mani Sharma to Goa for the music-sittings of his upcoming film with Vijay Devarakonda, which is tentatively titled Fighter. After wrapping these sittings, even Vijay is likely to join them for the dialogue writing session. Later they will kick start the shooting in Goa itself.

Apart from doing the pre-production work of Fighter, Puri Jagan is also going to monitor the shoot of his son’s upcoming film ‘Romantic’ that is gearing up for a new schedule in south Goa very soon.
