Prolific actor Sanjay Dutt’s foray into South Indian cinema continues to flourish. Following his critically acclaimed performances in the Kannada blockbuster K.G.F: Chapter 2 and the recently released Tamil film “Leo” alongside Vijay, Dutt has now signed on for director Puri Jagannadh’s upcoming Telugu venture “Double iSmart,” featuring Ram Pothineni.
Further bolstering his South Indian presence, rumors abound that Dutt is in advanced talks to join the cast of Allu Arjun’s highly anticipated sequel, “Pushpa 2: The Rule.” This news comes as director Sukumar seeks to amplify the reach of the “Pushpa” franchise beyond its South Indian roots. “Pushpa 2: The Rule” promises to be a grander cinematic experience compared to the first film, boasting lavish production values and a captivating storyline.
According to reports circulating within Bollywood media circles, Sanjay Dutt has been approached for a special cameo appearance in the film. While official confirmation from Dutt himself is still pending, the prospect of his involvement has undeniably piqued the interest of fans across the country.
With a target release date set for August 15th, strategically coinciding with India’s Independence Day weekend, director Sukumar is reportedly aiming for a swift shooting schedule for “Pushpa: The Rule.” The film stars Allu Arjun in the lead role, alongside Rashmika Mandanna. The musical score will be composed by Devi Sri Prasad, with Mythri Movie Makers bankrolling this big-budget project.
