Despite the Supreme Court’s ruling that renegade YSRCP MP Raghuramakrishnam Raju be given the bail, it could take another four days for the MP to walk free. According to Raghuramakrishnam Raju’s counsel Lakshminarayana, there are several procedural issues and that the release could actually happen four days later.
He said that a sureties petition was filed in the trial court as per the orders of the Supreme Court. The judge has sought a discharge summary. For Raghurama to get discharged from the hospital, it would take another four days. Only after that, a sureties petition can be filed, he said. He said that till then Raghurama Krishnam Raju may have to stay in the prison.
Raghuramakrishnam Raju, who had won on a YSRCP ticket turned into an opponent of YS Jagan. Recently, the AP Government arrested him on charges of sedition. Challenging this, Raghurama sought bail. When the High Court refused to consider his plea and asked him to go to a lower court, he went to the Supreme court and secured a bail.
