The political situation in Rajasthan has been in a turmoil for quite some time now, with leaders of the same party pitted against each other. The showdown between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot has worsened now, with the release of call recordings by Gehlot, exposing Pilot’s camp.
In these audio files, we can hear those supporting Pilot – Bhanwar Lal Sharma and Vishvendra Singh – conversing with BJP minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, and another person called Sanjay Jain. These people were discussing bringing down Congress in the state of Rajasthan.
A complaint was filed by Congress chief Mahesh Joshi on the following day, after which a case was filed against Shekhawat, Sharma and Jain by the Special Operation Group (SOG).
While Jain has been arrested, Shekhawat said that it wasn’t his voice on the audio and said that he was ready to go through an investigation to prove himself innocent. On the other hand, Sharma and former tourism minister Vishvedra Singh have been suspended from Congress.

Congress Spokesperson Ranveer Singh Surjewala said that the BJP was trying to infiltrate congress and buy its members, despite the ongoing circumstances in the country.
Rajasthan BJP President Satish Poonia said that this is a shameful incident that is being propagated by the Chief Minister’s office and that the audio that has been released is fake.
