Rajini Opens Up on Political Entry

Amidst strong speculations that Tamil superstar Rajinikanth would step in to politics and going to make a formal announcement after his meeting with his fans on April 2, reports of Rajini’s political entry have gripped Tamil Nadu. Given the special prevailing political conditions in Tamil Nadu post demise of its leader and former chief minister J Jayalalithaa, all eyes are now on Rajini. Also it’s been buzzed that Rajini may take a favourable decision after his meet with his fans.

Rajini has finally responded to them and clarified that he has no political plans. This is not all. Rajini has totally ruled out of joining politics. “No political plans. Meeting fans was long overdue. I’m just going to meet them and discuss on how to manage things.”

Meawnhile, Rajinikanth has met Malaysian PM Najib Razak who is in in Chennai on Friday. “When we were shooting for Kabali in Malaysia, we were there for almost two months. They have extended great cooperation. I wanted to meet him then and to thank him. But I couldn’t met him as he was busy then. Since he is in Chennai, I wanted to meet him. He’s gracious to accept my request,” said Rajini.

Responding to reports that Malaysia government is interested in roping Rajini as its brand ambassador, Rajini said, “Those are all rumours.” On parting note, Rajini said that 2.0 is due for Diwali release. When asked about the various rumours surrounding the film, Rajini simply said, “No comments.”
