Despite the humongous success of Rajinikanth’s last film 2.0, which also starred Akshay Kumar as the main antagonist in the film, the big-budget science-fiction has reportedly lost money as it took a whopping Rs 543 crore to be made.
While, 2.0 broke many records at the box-office, yet, the film barely broke even, let alone making the big bucks for the producers of 2.0.
In fact, his film Kaala (2018) also didn’t do exceedingly well at the box-office. So, his last film Petta is the only one that actually ended up making money.
Now, Rajinikanth is all set to star in AR Murugadoss next, but according to a report in Pinkvilla, the actor has taken a pay cut because of his last few films not performing well at the box-office.
Rajini had taken to his Twitter in December to reveal that he’s doing AR Murugadoss’ next.
