Superstar Rajinikanth, on Friday, underwent a Carotid Artery revascularisation procedure at Kauvery Hospital in Chennai. The 70-year-old actor is likely to be discharged from the hospital after a few days, said the hospital in a statement.
“Rajinikanth was admitted following an episode of giddiness. He was thoroughly evaluated and was advised to undergo Cartoid Artery revascularisation,” the hospital said in a statement.
“Procedure was performed successfully today. He is likely to be discharged from the hospital after a few days,” it added.
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin wished the superstar a speedy recovery. As the actor is being treated in Kauvery hospital, the police department has made tight security arrangements for controlling the fans reaching the hospital.
On the work front, Rajinikanth will next be seen in “Annaatthe”, directed by Siva. The film is all set for theatrical release on Deepavali (4 November).
