The shooting of Rajnikanth’s upcoming film Annaatthe was halted earlier this year after a few crew members tested positive for COVID-19 and Rajnikanth himself fell ill due to fluctuating blood pressure.
The latest news is that Annaatthe unit has resumed shooting in Chennai very recently.
Rajnikanth joined the sets last week and shot for his portion. Today, Nayanthara who will be playing lady lead in the film joined the shoot. Rajnikanth-Nayanthara combination scenes will be shot in this schedule.
The makers of Annaatthe are planning to complete the shooting at the earliest in wake of spike in Covid cases. Safety measures and precautions are being taken on the sets and there are multiple Covid testing protocols as well.
The shooting is going on at a brisk pace now. Once Rajni completes his portion in Annaatthe, he ill be taking a layoff from movies and spend some time with his family in the USA.
The makers of the Siva directorial are planning to release the film in theatres later this year.
