Rakul Preet Singh recently shared a candid account of an early setback in her Telugu film career. During an interview with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, she revealed that she was replaced in a film featuring Prabhas after just four days of shooting. This incident occurred prior to her official Telugu debut in “Venkatadri Express.”
Despite the disappointment, Rakul’s innocence and positive attitude allowed her to navigate the situation with resilience. She explained that her naive outlook helped her accept the replacement without much disappointment. Recalling the incident, Rakul shared, “I thought, ‘Oh, they replaced me? No problem, maybe it wasn’t meant for me, I’ll find something else.'” The producers were reportedly seeking a more experienced actor for the role.
Undeterred by the setback, Rakul focused on moving forward and eventually made her Telugu debut with a smaller film, which proved to be a major success. In a separate interaction during an Instagram Q&A session, Rakul expressed her desire to return to the Telugu film industry. She shared that she missed working in Telugu films and was actively reviewing scripts in hopes of being part of a new project soon.
On the professional front, Rakul has an impressive lineup of upcoming films, including “Indian 3,” “De De Pyaar De 2,” and “Meri Patni Ka Remake.” Prabhas, on the other hand, is currently working on multiple high-profile projects such as “The Raja Saab,” “Spirit,” “Kannapa,” and “Fauji.”
