Star heroes Ram Charan and NTR gained worldwide popularity over the last year because of Rajamouli’s massive blockbuster ‘RRR’. Starting from giving interviews to Hollywood channels to attending the Oscar awards ceremony, they stole the entire spotlight. They are not just pan-Indian heroes now as they got pan-world recognition. ‘RRR’ won many international awards and the two heroes are enjoying a lot of fame.
They are even topping charts in the most popular lists. In the recently released Times Of India Most Popular Male Stars list, Ram Charan took the first place while NTR occupied the second spot. They delivered superb performances in ‘RRR’. Ram Charan as Ramaraju and NTR as Komaram Bheem competed with each other in terms of acting. During the release of ‘RRR’, the North Indians searched a lot about these two actors.
By promoting the film heavily on the international stage, they became a part of the Most Popular Male Stars list. While Charan and NTR took the first two spots, Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan is in third place while Vijay occupied the fourth spot. Prabhas stood in fifth place while Allu Arjun occupied sixth spot. The seventh, eighth and ninth positions are taken by Suriya, Sudeep and Mahesh Babu respectively.
Interestingly, most of these names are from the South and the current pan-Indian trend is majorly responsible for this. Barring Shah Rukh Khan, there is no other North Indian star in the first nine positions of this Most Popular Male Actors list.
