Handsome hunk Rana Daggubati who is known for his unique script selection has decided to enter the OTT arena with ‘Rana Naidu’ which drew a lot of criticism but the amount of views it garnered pushed the makers to start the second season. He was seen playing a cameo in Nikhil’s recent outing ‘SPY’. While he is yet to decide on his next Telugu film, there is a talk that he is all set to remake the Tamil super hit film ‘Maanaadu’.
Interestingly, Rana is reportedly playing the lead role in the Hindi remake. The original had Simbu playing the lead role while SJ Suryah did the villain’s role. Apparently, Rana had the remake rights and he decided to make it in Hindi rather than Telugu as a lot of people have already watched the Telugu dubbed version of the original.
Sources claim that Varun Dhawan is considered for playing a negative role in this film. People who watched the movie might know that the villain role has a lot of scope to perform and steal the show. The search for the right actor to play the antagonist is still going on and we need to see who gets to play the part. The movie might start at the end of 2023.
Rana Daggubati is currently working on the second season of ‘Rana Naidu’ which will be streamed on Netflix. He made his debut with ‘Leader’ and went on to act in many films like ‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi’, ‘Naa Ishtam’, ‘Baahubali’, ‘Bheemla Nayak’, ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’, ‘Aranya’ and many others.
