Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar is likely to get Lok Sabha ticket on behalf of Congress party. This decision to rope in Urmila is taken by Maharashtra Congress party however, the party leaders are refusing to comment at this moment.
Maharashtra will go for elections in two phases. For six Lok Sabha constituencies, the polling will be held on April 29th and the rest in fourth phase. The Maharashtra Congress is considering to allot Urmila, Mumbai North Lok Sabha seat. Currently Gopal Shetty of BJP is representing this constituency and he is likely to he get second term as well.
Urmila stepped into Bollywood as child actress. With ‘Rangeela’ she achieved a stardom. The 45 year old remained unavailable to media to comment on her possible political entry. Congress is leaving no stone unturned to give a tough fight for BJP in Maharashtra.
