After Gully Boy’s terrific success, Ranveer Singh is currently busy with his next project under Kabir Khan’s direction titled 83. In the film, he will be seen playing as the former cricketer Kapil Dev.
On February 14th, the dangerous Pulwama terror attacks left the whole nation in shock. Even film associations have banned Pakistani artists from working in the industry and anyone who does otherwise will be served with a severe penalty.
Many celebrities have supported the move. However, when asked Ranveer about the same, he said that one should not link art and sport with it as they are two different things. He further said that both artists and sportsmen are not sacrificing the same way that some of our compatriots are.
Arts and sports fall under two different categories with separate boundaries and if there’s even one mother of a soldier who believes that the film artists or sportsmen shouldn’t engage, then all should follow that, he expressed.
