It is well known that Bollywood’s energetic actor Ranveer Singh starrer and Kabir Khan’s directorial 83, the sports saga’s shoot is underway. The plot chronicles the moments from crucial final match that paved way to India’s victory at the 1983 World Cup series.
As per the latest update, the movie is likely to get an international reach! It is learnt from trusted sources that the flick is likely to be made in the English language too alongside original Hindi version. Although the makers initially planned for a Hindi film. It seemed that further discussions among the film unit led to the inception of making it to the global audience.
“It makes sense to have an English version of 83 since Kapil Dev is admired all over the world. The story of his triumph at the 1983 World Cup is of interest to his fans globally. So yes, an international English version of 83 is being considered”, disclosed the source.
83 features Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev while Ranveer real-life wife Deepika Padukone plays Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Dev. Apart from that it stars sportsmen, singers and performers, who play the roles of Indian cricketers. Release date is yet to be announced soon.
