Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon, who played last full-fledged role in Shab (2017), is all set to feature in KGF Chapter-2. Actually, the actress was also set to star in the first part of KGF, but it didn’t materialise then.
Now, speaking about this, Tandon told a popular media house that “at a point, the story of KGF second part, especially my character had not developed fully.
“If I had done the first part, and it didn’t turn out as well in the second instalment, it would have been a dicey proportion. They agreed to use my body double and left the choice to me. I saw the first part when it was complete, and I was like ‘Oh my God! This is phenomenal.’ It was edgy, new age cinema,” said the actress.
KGF-2 marks Tandon’s return to Kannada cinema after 21 years. She was seen in the 1999 film Upendra. The film is directed by Prasanth Neel and is slated to release in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil. The much-awaited sequel will be released in theatres on July 16, 2021.
