Everyone remembers Sharddha Walker’s case in Delhi which had shaken the entire nation. In the incident reported from the national capital, the victim was subjected to a brutal murder in her live-in partner’s hand. Her body was cut into parts and stored in a fridge. The suspect was arrested by the cops. Now another shocking incident and this time it happened in the financial capital Mumbai. A person named Manoj Sane lives in an apartment in Geeta Colony in the Mira Road area. He is 56-year-old and he is in a live-in relationship with a woman named Saraswati Vaidya who is 21 years old. When a bad smell was coming from flat no 704, in which they stay, the Police were alerted.
Police broke the door and entered the flat. They were shocked to see human parts which were boiled in three buckets in the kitchen. Air fresheners to stop the bad smell were also found. Manoj who was present inside the Apartment when the Cops barged in was arrested and grilled. In the interrogation, the accused confessed that the body parts are of his live-in partner. However, he said that he had not killed her and that she died of suicide.
During the questioning, Manoj Sane did not sound guilty and changed his versions a few times. When the cops dug deep into the case, they found that it was Manoj Sane who killed the victim. Saraswati is an orphan who used to stay at an orphanage in Borivali in Mumbai. ITI Graduate Manoj used to run a ration shop and the two met in 2014. Friendship turned into a relationship and they started a live-in relationship in Borivali. In 2017, they shifted to Mira Road. Since then, they started living there.
Saraswati was killed on June 4th. With a bad smell coming from the flat, Somesh Srivatsava who lives in the next flat tried to look into this. But there was no response despite knocking on the door and he heard sounds of using room spray. Manoj told Srivatsava that he is also getting the smell and he is going out to work. Inspired by Shraddha Walker’s case he cut Saraswati into parts and boiled them to dispose of. It is said that he threw some body parts at a drainage near the Railway Track. However, Police said that there is no evidence to say he fed the body parts to dogs.
However, a few locals said that they spotted Manoj Sane feeding food to the dogs. So there are a few doubts on whether he fed the dogs Saraswati’s body parts. Police said that they found a cutter used to cut the victim’s body, black covers, and body parts in buckets in the kitchen. The case became a sensation and the court sent him to Police custody for 14 days.
