Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film Dil Bechara has set a benchmark in number of views on its opening day.
It has reportedly clocked 95 million views within 24 hours since it was made available on Disney+Hotstar.
The film is streaming for free for both subscribers and non subscribers as a tribute to Sushant.
Although Sushant fans protested against releasing his last film on OTT, they had turned out in numbers to bid farewell to him.
In comparison, Netflix original film Extraction has got 99 million views in a month and the last season of Game of Thrones got 44 million views per episode only in the USA. Dil Bechara has shattered all digital records according to unconfirmed reports.
95 million views is roughly translated into Rs 2000 Cr given the average price across PVR multiplex chain was Rs 207 in 2019.
Bollywood trade analysts believe Dil Bechara would have been a smash hit at the box office if it was released in theaters.
