Record collections: Telangana cross Andhra in liquor sales

Collections from liquor sale all over the nation is fetching good revenue to the Government. Among the Telugu speaking states, Telangana crosses Andhra Pradesh in the collection. The shops in the respective regions were opened at 10AM and were closed at 6PM.

The collection from liquor sale in Telangana is around 90 Crores while it is 67 Crores in Andhra Pradesh. On an average, the prices of liquor were raised by 16% but still the sales were on peaks. Several images came on to the media showing huge lines before the liquor shops and the trend is seen all over the nation.

Lock down has a huge impact on the alcoholics and the reverse impact is now being seen in front of the liquor shops. Police officials tried to impose social distancing but in most of the cases the urge of the alcoholics to get the liquor overcame the rules. Few liquor shops made it mandatory for customers to buy umbrella and use it while standing in the line, which will keep one another at a distance.
