After over six months of lockdown, Johnny actress Renu Desai recently went to meet lyricist and poet Goreti Venkanna at his farm outside the city for her film on farmers. The actress turned producer-director spent some quality time in nature’s lap while enjoying some lyrical sessions with Goreti and delicious delicacies cooked by Goreti’s wife. Carrying cherished memories and beautiful gifts, the actress returned to the city.
She took to Instagram to thank Goreti for his hospitality and love. She wrote, “So much warmth and love…went to Goreti Venkanna garu’s farm for the lyrics session. I feel so honoured that he is writing a song for my farmers film. His wife cooked the yummiest annam pappu in mud utensils and the tastiest roti pachadi. Instead of gifting me flowers, Goreti garu gifted me a banana leaf to eat my lunch in…Simple living on a small farm and big warm hearts is what I experienced with them on a rainy Sunday afternoon”(Sic).
The Badri actress was recently in the news for donating her hair to make wigs for cancer patients. Her kind and thoughtful gesture won the hearts of the audience as well as her fans. The pictures she posted of herself post-donation have also gone viral on social media.
Renu Desai was one of the first artistes in Tollywood to begin shooting post lockdown. She will soon be directing a film in Telugu, details of which will soon be revealed.
