TPCC chief Revanth Reddy is touring the length and breadth of Telangana to activate the party and mobilize the party activists. He is holding meetings and is participating in caste-based conclaves. He is also meeting those who had left the party due to some reason or the other and is trying to bring them back into the party.
At the same time, he is planning to take up a huge task of cleaning up the party. He wants to constitute new committees from the district to the village level. He is now said to be gathering information about various leaders, groups and local equations at the district level. He is also said to have prepared a list of the names of the leaders, who should be included in the new committee. He has also prepared a list of leaders who are in collusion with the ruling TRS.
Sources say that he has forwarded a detailed proposal for the reconstitution of the DCCs.. He is said to be waiting for the nod from the high command. Once he gets the nod, he would begin the massive process of reorganizing the party. Sources say that Revanth has taken care to ensure that his supporters get the important positions.
If and when this happens, it is bound to shake up the party in a big way. The seniors are likely to rise up and slam these proposals. But, Revanth strongly believes that several important leaders have compromised their loyalties and are said to be acting as coverts. He wants to ensure that those people are weeded out at the earliest.
