Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy has tendered his resignation to the Working President of Telangana Congress. Offering his resignation, Revanth said he took a cue from Rahul Gandhi who resigned as Congress president and is adamant about leading the party.
Adding Revanth said he took the decision after a long thought process and only to strengthened the party in the Telangana.
So far nearly 140 Congress leaders from all over the country have resigned in solidarity to Rahul Gandhi. Meanwhile, the Congress is unable to take a decision on whom to appoint as the president. For nearly a month or so Congress high command is trying to pacify Rahul Gandhi but the scion is in no mood to accept the role. He advised seniors should take over the party.
