The much-awaited collections of ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ are out now. The movie which was made on a budget of around 3000 crores has opened to record-breaking collections all across the globe. It minted 90 million dollars just through its premiers and the numbers it registered in India were also phenomenal.
The movie ended up as the second highest-grossing Hollywood film in India by earning over 38 crores on its first. It surpassed ‘Spiderman – No Way Home’ and ‘Avengers – Infinity War’ while ‘Avengers – End Game’ which came in 2019 stands on top with 53 crores in India. ‘Avatar – 2’ had a phenomenal start but the collections were mostly driven by South according to reports. The collections in the North were not as expected but it will be growing in the coming days. The movie is expected to make huge profits in India as there are no big releases throughout this week.
This James Cameron directorial earned 14 crores on its first day in both Telugu States and it is quite huge considering not many medium-level heroes are managing to get that level of money at the box office in recent times. The movie will continue its dominance throughout the week and it is a kind of cinema that should be watched only on big screens for its never before visual experience.
‘Avatar’ came out in 2009 and it swept everyone off their feet. The visuals showcased in that film were never seen before and it took a film like ‘Avengers Endgame’ to break its record, that too in its second run at the box office showcasing the magic ‘Avatar’ created a decade back. The visionary director takes us back to Pandora world. ‘Avatar: The Way Of Water’ tells us the story of the Sully family, the troubles they endure, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they face.
