Actress-politician RK Roja is finding the going quite tough. Though she has managed to become a minister and is considered close to YS Jagan, she is finding that there is opposition to her within the party in her own constituency of Nagari in Chittoor district. Unfortunately for her, some top leaders in the party are also opposed to her.
In a recent incident, several developmental works in Nagari were launched by the party leaders without even bothering to inform her. A shocked Roja confided about this insult to a party leader over the telephone. The telephone conversation got leaked and has gone viral. Significantly, she is facing opposition in all the five mandals of her constituency.
Most worrisome for her is the fact that some senior party leaders are encouraging dissidence against her in Nagari. Particularly, district strongman and minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and MP Mithun Reddy are openly opposing her. She is feeling distressed at their encouragement of dissidence against her in Nagari constituency itself.
In Nagari, her opponents specifically ensure that Roja’s photo is not there in any of the flexis and banners erected on the streets. Even the Nagari municipal chairperson is said to be opposed to Roja. Most of these opponents are quite close to Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy. Roja has reportedly taken the issue to the notice of YS Jagan but to no avail.
